KMC Wheels – One Tough Wheel

In today’s hyper-competitive custom wheel market, a real player these days seems to be the KMC Wheel Company. These sorts of wheels weigh less, which helps a car go faster (it has less poundage to haul, after all), but they’re a bit more high maintenance in terms of refurbishing them or replacing them when they break. Sometimes, aluminum can do that, and it’s not usually repairable when it comes to a wheel or rim.

Bolt it Down

 Wheels have different bolt requirements and patterns. And a wheel is affixed to an axle through its hub. The number of bolts that a wheel may need depends on what the wheel is going to be required to do or the stresses it’s going to have to stand up to. Usually, for street machines, four or five bolts are all you’ll see. KMC Wheel Company has a number of models that have this, and several that might use more, if a special purpose is required.
